Purpose:

Perform IC design development functions for implantable medical devices

 

Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities:

? Provide technical leadership for design of mixed-signal ICs for implantable medical devices

? Integrate existing design IP and create new IP when required to produce testable and manufacturable integrated circuit designs

? Plan and schedule design engineering efforts and track progress against milestones and performance requirements

 

Requirements:

Preferred Education:

? Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology; Master of Science (EE) preferred

 

Preferred Experience:

? 9-13 years semiconductor-related experience (design, simulation, modeling); 1-3 years direct related experience in mixed signal IC design; experience with implantable medical electronics preferred

 

Major Requirements:

? Understanding of IC design development process from conception through product release

? Experience with debugging analog ICs in the lab

? Working knowledge of semiconductor physics and modeling

? Fluent with HSPICE and Spectre circuit simulation techniques.

? The candidate must possess good communication skills and the ability to interface well with customers and team members.

? Fluent with UNIX/Linux, Cadence design environment, and Design Sync.

? Some knowledge of Ocean, Perl, and Labview would also be helpful.
