Position: Principal Applications Engineer, Santa Clara, CA

The Amplifiers Product Definer will be responsible for driving new product technical definitions for the High Speed market segment.

In this role, the PD will also be responsible for the following activities: Managing the queue of new product ideas from all sources Advancing ideas from the queue to the new product idea database Driving FAE, DFAE input sessions Driving new product ideas in the field with technical training Overseeing our competitive portfolio Monitoring portfolio and planning activities Visiting Customers Developing Datasheets for critical specifications Creating application articles and application notes

Requirements:BSEE (MSEE desirable). Ten plus years experience in electronics equipment design or semiconductor industry applications or design, strong written and verbal communications skills, commercial/business orientation and motivation, ability to work effectively on an individual basis and on product and business teams. Experience in the use of high-speed op-amps and RF amplifiers is a strong positive. Electronic product experience areas of particular interest include; video, flat-panels, DVD players, xDSL, cellular handsets, medical imaging, and high performance industrial applications such as instrumentation and test/measurement. Travel is also necessary for this position.
