PRINCIPAL DATABASE ENGINEER

 

The selected candidate will play an integral role in the design and development of information systems using advanced tools and techniques for programming and object/relational database management systems.  The position requires experience in data warehousing of disparate data base environments including SQL, Oracle, and mainframe environments and programming experience in .NET, Java, or Ruby on Rails.  The selected candidate will be responsible for generating requirements analysis documentation, process and data models resulting from requirements analysis, translating the process and data models into the database and application design, developing the database/application, integrating, implementing, and testing of the information system.  The candidate will also be responsible for developing scripts to perform data extraction, translation, and load processes to migrate data from one data environment to another.

 

Candidate must have a BS in Computer Science /Engineering or a directly related technical discipline and 8-10 years related technical experience, with 8 years of Oracle database engineering and 2 years experience in computer programming. Qualified candidates must have experience in the design and development of database management systems, processes, and data modeling. Also experience in a business intelligence tool is recommended. Strong communication skills both in verbal and written is required.
