The Opportunity

We are looking for a principal engineer who can perform modeling and simulation of electromechanical systems, as well as provide the technical leadership to combine the efforts of software, electrical and mechanical engineers that develop these systems.  Our market leading materials testing products are made up of software for control/analysis, digital electronics, electromechanical drives, and sensors.  We are looking to push the envelope (and synergy) of our technologies with the aim of providing ever-increasing degrees of automation for our customers, with the intended benefits of increased ease-of-use, safety, throughput, and repeatability.  We seek a highly talented engineer who can develop new methodologies, algorithms and control schemes, as well as provide the technical leadership that will facilitate our planned product evolution.

Requirements

Successful candidates should possess a Bachelor?s Degree in a related engineering discipline, and preferably have a background in digital electronics and control systems and/or the firmware therein.  Other requirements include:

 At least 8 years of engineering experience with a proven track record of technical achievement in areas relevant to the opportunity described above.Possess a high level of analytical and simulation proficiency, and have expert level skills with tools such as MATLAB.Be very comfortable in a team environment and have the leadership skills necessary to bring engineers of different disciplines together to solve system level problems and facilitate system/architectural level design.Have a ?can do? attitude.
