Principal Engineer - Packaging Technical Services
Support cost management packaging projects and Supply Strategy objectives for packaging materials and vendors. Support Quality Assurance and Supply Chain in resolution of packaging material quality issues.

Develop, plan and manage packaging projects. Work with various Business Units, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing and Key Vendors to ensure business objectives are realized. Ensure processes are effectively and consistently applied to meet or exceed goals. Define/plan/execute technical objectives to meet the short and long-term strategic needs of the business. Bring in new technology views from broad and deep experience combining knowledge of packaging and equipment relationships. Conceive and develop technical approaches and implement to improve existing packaging delivery systems.

Lead cross-functional teams. Provide clear priorities and expectations to team. Gain resources necessary for team success. Motivate the team to strive for high standards by articulating organizational goals, promoting a sense of urgency and importance, and emphasizing the need to create long-term value for both the Company and its customers and consumers

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
? Excellent project management skills. Expertise with Gantt charts and other project management tools. Expertise in MS Project.
? Excellent presentation skills. Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
? Broad technical understanding of food science, packaging, processing, quality systems, and manufacturing
? Strong testing and development skills with a proven ability to reconcile project timing, business risks, and resources, to define a working plan of action.
? This position will require flexibility in working hours to set-up and complete scale-ups, plant trials, audits or plant startups that may extend past typical working hours. Field Travel will be required. Estimate 30%.

? Bachelors Degree in Packaging, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equiv.
? Eight plus years experience of adding value in the packaging field within the consumer food products, beverages or pharmaceutical industries.
? Experience with a wide variety of package materials, systems, and equipment.
