Job Responsibilities:
PRINCIPAL ETHERNET COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER


This is a senior level leadership position, which combines ethernet and networking technology as well as hardware/firmware/software development experience in a controls systems environment. The person filling this position will manage system requirements with functional architectures definitions and network system views. This Ethernet technical expert will be expected to serve as the R & D interface to the inter-disciplinary team in multi-site and cross-cultural environments. This position will lead investigation and definition efforts including the comparative analysis of technologies, architectures and solutions. Proven expertise in TCP/IP networking combined with Ethernet protocol implementation experience and knowledge of Industrial Business are essential to this role.


MS in a technical discipline with 12 years of experience in Network architecture or system development experience in at least one of the following fields: industrial automation and control systems or communications networks. Technical expertise in Ethernet technology and networking protocols is required. Real-time software development experience in an embedded systems environment id desired. Excellent problem solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills are also required. Knowledge of Fieldbus networks is a plus.
