Department Description: The test of hardware, application software, and network management system for the Motorola Fiber to the Premise product.
Responsibilities/Expectations: IP-Data and/or VIOP test expert. Should have strong working knowledge of Ethernet/LAN test methods, RFC's related to LAN performance and use of LAN/Data test equipment (such as Spirent, Ixia, Adtech, etc).
Knowledge Skills: ? Knowledge of IPTV performance testing a plus.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
? Experience in planning and authoring test plans/procedures for performance and functional system level testing.
? Troubleshoot/isolate/define/reproduce issues with development engineers
? Define lab equipment requirements and support lab build out efforts.
? Working knowledge of "triple-play" (IP, VOIP, and IPTV) including hardware, protocols, configurations is highly desirable.
? Knowledge of PON/GPON related ITU and Telcordia specifications and test methods highly desirable.
