Principal RF Engineer

Job Description: Primary Function: The Electronics Engineer will develop wireless systems that will be used for communication between implanted medical devices and external instruments. We are looking for a person that has extensive experience with RF receivers and transmitter design, analog circuit design, microcontrollers and embedded programming.

Duties: 1. The ideal candidate will specify, design, analyze, simulate, prototype, build, test, document and release to manufacturing various digital communications system below the 500 MHz frequency range. 2. This person will be able to design wireless radio receiver/transmitter circuits and write low level firmware in C and assembly language to implement communication functions. 3. This person must be hands-on, action-oriented, with good analytical and experimental work habits. Good interaction with other team members is essential.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 1. Implantable medical devices: Knowledge of circuit and system design applicable to medical instrumentation is a plus.

Experience: 1. Total experience: Minimum of 7 years experience

Education and Training: 1. Degrees: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required (MS or Ph.D. preferred).
