Principle Engineer, Aerospace Structures

Principle Engineer, Aerospace Structures:

Responsible for developing the skills of Structures practitioners at a $25M/year engineering services company in Isabela, Puerto Rico. The Principle Engineer will be responsible developing for the technical capability of his department, working closely with customer to align methodology. This will involve mentoring the employees, recruiting more experienced employees, ensuring required training plans are in place, and working with customers to provide technical support. The Principle Engineer will be also be responsible reviewing technical work in the Structures discipline to ensure high quality results. The Principle will head the internal design reviews, prepare practitioners for customer design reviews, and assist in the application of continuous improvement tools in the Structures discipline.

 

Education: Minimum - Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, or a related Field. MS degree with Structures emphasis preferred.

 

Experience/Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years experience in gas turbine or aircraft structural analysis and discipline work in a technical leadership role.  Working knowledge of NASTRAN, ANSYS, and other structural analysis tools as well as experience at participating in design reviews, analyzing engine test data, MRB activity, and publishing Structural Analysis Memos.

 

Additional Comments: Individual must relish developing people and have a strong desire to embrace the business success factors of this new start up joint venture in an entrepreneurial environment. Position has large amount of high-level exposure.  

Employer is Infotech Aerospace Services in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Infotech is a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney.
