Complexity:

The Principle Modem Engineer will be involved in all phases of the product development for CMDC Satcom transceiver product line.  This includes design, verification of new designs and services as well as and sustaining legacy designs.

 

Minimum Requirements/Skills:Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.  Master?s degree with communications specialty a plus.Minimum 5-years experience with designing and testing DSP based modems.  Solid understanding of parameters typically used for performance characterization and defining functional requirements of a typical transceiver.  An understanding of spread spectrum radio transmission and reception and signal characteristics is strongly desired.Proven track record of implementation signal processing and demodulation algorithms on DSP and/or FPGA platforms required.Must be able to clearly and comfortably discuss and document detailed technical and operational aspects of the project with other members of the organization and external customers.
