Principle Specialist / Manager, Aerospace Product Definition:

Responsible for developing the skills of Product Definition practitioners at an aerospace engineering services company in Isabela, Puerto Rico. The Principle Specialist?or Manager will be responsible for developing the technical capability of his department, working closely with customer to align methodology. This will involve mentoring the employees, recruiting more experienced employees, ensuring required training plans are in place, and working with customers to provide technical support. Will also be responsible for reviewing technical work in the Product Definition discipline to ensure high quality results. Will lead the internal design reviews, prepare practitioners for customer design reviews, and assist in the application of continuous improvement tools in the Product Definition discipline.

Education: Minimum - Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, CAD/Design, or a related Field.

Experience/Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years technical experience in product definition discipline work.? Working knowledge of Unigraphics, Pro-E, CATIA, and other CAD tools as well as experience at participating in design reviews, processing engineering changes, MRB activity, and doing complex tolerance stack-ups. Strong knowledge, interpretation, and application of ASME Y14.5. Good communication and presentation skills.

Position has large amount of high-level exposure. This opportunity provides experience and exposure needed for upward movement. Previous aerospace or gas turbine experience a plus.
