Department Description: A Security Engineering Group in Advanced Technology Department.
We develop security and PKI applications to generate, distribute, and load Digital Identities to various Motorola devices to enable security /DRM applications.

Responsibilities/Expectations: ? Responsible for developing strategic architecture for a robust and highly scalable relational database.
? Support the development, implementation and deployment of significantly large and complex Service Oriented Architecture based software projects.
? Work closely with other development engineers on database technologies and coding methods.
? Work closely with operations personnel and database technicians/administrators on database hardware requirements and maintenance, support and administrative needs.
? Provide expertise on all database issues, especially related to design, performance and scalability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
? Responsible for administration of enterprise-wise MS SQL Server Databases.
? Perform database monitoring and performance tuning to ensure peak performance.
? Create and manage DTS packages, triggers, and stored procedures, views, SQL transactions.
? Formulate and monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to data quality and to data store management, security and administration.

Knowledge Skills: ? Strong knowledge of database modeling and architecture, with specific experience working with large scale Microsoft SQL Server databases.
? Requires familiarity and experience with SQL and relational databases programming. Designs, develops and implements functionality through the use of stored procedures, triggers and views.
? Experience with all aspects of relational database design and implementation including: data warehousing, database optimizations, data migration, load balancing and replication/synchronization techniques.
? Advanced/expert understanding of database performance tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/procedures.
? Programming skills in OOD/OOP, C, C++, C# and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio are desirable.
? Experience with writing application code, GUIs, user-level applications is a plus.
? Must have extensive experience in database administration support which includes responding to field problems escalated from the operational group, investigating and resolving database issues, installing new database components, and managing database issues.^^
