Printhead Engineer

The Eastman Kodak Company is looking for a Printhead Engineer to join our Graphic Communications Group in Dayton, OH.

 

Responsibilities to include:

? Engineering position focused on the continuous improvement of ink jet printheads.

? Act as the key person in identifying root cause problems, designing, testing and implementing solutions.

? Work will include failure analysis, mechanical design, laboratory testing of existing and prototype parts, and manufacturing process improvement.

? Coordinate activities involving designers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians as necessary.

? Close interaction with other engineering disciplines due to our complex printing system is required, including fluid mechanics, heat transfer, materials, electronics and software.

? Frequently communicate with the field service organization, and occasionally have direct contact with customers, including travel to customer sites.



Required Skills/Experience:

? Excellent analytical/problem solving skills

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) required

? Experience in working with project groups or as an individual contributor

? Knowledgeable in part fabrication processes (molding, stamping, diecasting, metal machining operations, EDM operations, etc.)

? Prior product design experience resulting in new or re-designed products from concept through manufacturing (Desirable)

? Prior design experience with small mechanical tolerances and associated measurement techniques for inspection of these dimensions (Desirable)
