The Eastman Kodak Company is looking for a Printhead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Graphic Communications Group in Dayton, Ohio. This individual will be focused on continuous improvement of manufacturing productivity and quality in the printhead assembly and/or alignment areas. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day floor support and longer-term improvement in our components area. The Printhead Manufacturing Engineer will be monitoring production methods, equipment, and equipment lay-out, to improve our resource utilization. In support of optimizing the implementation of our demand-based manufacturing workflow, this position will be responsible for maintaining manufacturing procedures, designing simple production fixturing, performing time studies, assisting in training of operators, equipment lay-out, and recommending design changes for improving printhead reliability or manufacturability. The Printhead Manufacturing Engineer must possess the following qualities: motivated, detail-oriented, ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, good problem solving skills, and good communication skills. Required Skills/Experience:
Experience in working with project groups or as an individual contributor.
Good written and verbal communication skills including documentation of manufacturing processes.
3+ years experience with continuous flow manufacturing
Prior experience with small mechanical tolerances and associated measurement techniques for inspection of these dimensions. (desirable)
Computer aided design experience.
Knowledgeable in using spreadsheet and databases, including querying and data analysis.
Knowledgeable in part fabrication processes.
Knowledgeable in Design of Experiments
Statistical based data interpretation/problem solving
Project management experience
