Pro E CAD Drafter

Globus Medical was formed in 2003 by a group of medical device professionals with  extensive experience in the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices; we are currently looking for a Pro E CAD Drafter.  The team?s core competencies are creativity and execution, built on proven expertise.  The members of the team have the proven ability to discover and deliver enhancements to devices and surgical techniques to aid spine surgeons in their tasks.

Globus is working on a full range of spinal implants and instruments to treat patients with spinal disorders in both Fusion and Non-Fusion segments. We are in need of Pro-E CAD Drafter for our growing Product Development and Biomaterials team.

 

Job Description ? Pro-E CAD Drafter

 

Location: Phoenixville, PA

Department:  Product Development / Biomaterials Department

Title: CAD Drafter

Reports To:  Group Manager / Director of Biomaterials

 

Globus Medical is a cutting edge medical device company focused on the development, manufacturing, and distribution of state-of-the-art spinal implants.  The CAD Drafter will be responsible for drafting prototypes, components, and product drawings in Pro-Engineer.  This person will work closely with product development and manufacturing to design CAD drawings for currently manufactured parts as well as those in development.  The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced product development and manufacturing environment.  The candidate must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, communication, organization, and flexibility.

 

Primary ResponsibilitiesTransforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Prepares and develop complex solid models. Prepare drawings and specifications for complex engineering design projects. Obtains document approvals following a documental control procedure. Works with product development on the design of new spinal devices. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Maintains up to date knowledge of Pro Engineer software.

 

Qualifications

 Associates degree in CAD Design Must be proficient with Pro/Engineer CAD software 3-5 years experience in Pro-Engineer CAD Drafting Knowledge of medical devices preferred Knowledge of manufacturing techniques/processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerance standards.

?Should possess strong organizational, task management, and influencing skills with the ability to work on

 multiple projects.  Should be able to set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.  Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, E-mail, and Microsoft Project. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
