Process Development Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 



 

The position is responsible to plan and implement process development programs to insure successful introduction of new product technology into the manufacturing operation as required to support Development and ECTNA goals.

 



 



 



 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 



 Work with Product and Applications Engineers to understand issues with new technologies and establish plans for their resolution.

 Manage projects to ensure smooth transfer of new products.

 Understand the APQP process in Johnson Matthey and ensure that all aspects are being addressed and documented to ensure smooth transfer of products and customer satisfaction.

 Perform PFMEA?s and DFMEA?s effectively to assure that formulation issues are addressed and resolved in advance of transfer to Production.

 Work with Process Engineering and Production to determine the cost effectiveness of changes to the formulation process.

 Review all new materials prior to release to our customers for health and processing effects.

 Support Raw Material procurement to ensure the continued supply of qualified cost effective materials.

 Employee will comply with all Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures and local, state and federal regulatory requirements

 



 



 REQUIREMENTS:

 

BS in Chemistry, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering with at least 2-5 years experience in the chemicals or materials industry.  Must have a good understanding of ISO or quality system implementation.
