Process/Device Simulation Engineer

Principal Process/Device Simulation Engineer supporting next generation discrete device and IC technology development and manufacturing transfer. Responsibilities include device and process architecture and TCAD simulation.

The individual in this position would participate in defining device and process architecture and specifications for next generation products and would use his knowledge to help set and justify the technology direction. The person would conduct process and device simulation, as well as be responsible for training other team members and coordinating/consolidating simulation work by other team members. The primary emphasis in this role would be to utilize TCAD expertise to set the direction of technology development and to drive a successful development through predictive engineering. Must be a team player and maintain close communication with manufacturing, modeling, QA, design, and business functions to ensure technology targets and schedules meet business goals. The person must understand requirements for product qualification and manufacturability and implement into the TCAD simulation any items required to ensure successful development, qualification and production. Invention of new technology and generation of intellectual property is an expectation of this role.

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong background in semiconductor device physics;
Knowledge of silicon processing for VLSI and/or high-voltage IC/discrete;
Extensive experiences in device and process TCAD simulation in supporting semiconductor technology development;
Understanding of intrinsic reliability and technology qualification procedures;
Some level of computer skills in (in the order of importance):
1) UNIX OS;
2) Scripting languages such as PERL, TCL or PYTHON;
3) C and C++.

Experience:
M.S. + 10 years experience, Ph.D. + 7 years experience.
