Process Engineer - 2nd Shift

Position Summary:

Maintains manufacturing processes associated with all product lines and Machine Equipment on 2nd Shift.  Plans, initiates, and supports manufacturing activities for engineering projects.  Major focus will be on process improvements and troubleshooting.  This person will direct supporting personnel as required and will lead to coordinating the activities of the weekend maintenance team.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

?  Participate in the development of manufacturing projects on a multiple product line basis and/or develop complete methods data for groups of related operations.

?  Develop, design, and direct the construction of simple tools, jigs, and fixtures.

?  Learn basic PLC programming and maintenance.

?  Develop, initiate, and implement cost reduction programs and processes.

?  Design, plan, and layout plant systems, equipment, workstations, and facilities based upon general concepts/requirements minimizing required floor space.  Work with Maintenance on the electrical, venting, and compressed air requirements for such areas.

?  Learn present computer systems for labels, routings, and ISO procedures.

?  Implements engineering judgments and decisions by using Six Sigma Processes.

?  Aids in training other personnel.

?  Participate with multi-functional teams to solve production problems.

?  Must be team worker, self-motivated, innovative; have well disciplines engineering habits; and be able to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbally.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

?  B.S. Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Process Engineering.

?  Three to five years experience as an Engineer in Manufacturing in related industry or two to three years with Masters Degree or equivalent.

?  Proficiency in working with PC?s to include AutoCad/Excel/Word/Project Manager.

?  Works well on teams.
