Process Engineer, EBPVD

Responsible for development and maintenance of EBPVD coating processes for gas turbine engines (hot section) components. Coating development includes interpretation of overhaul and OEM specifications, robotic programming, creation of detailed work instructions and metallurgical coating analysis for coatings on various engine models. Process maintenance includes monitoring the process via statistical methods, maintaining work instructions, continuous training of operators and provide direction for aggressive preventative maintenance program. Provide engineering leadership and support to coating operators. Plasma coating and vacuum systems knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities also include technical ownership of robot programming, process parameter development, metallurgical evaluation, tooling development, surface prep and finishing methods. Customer interfacing, process documentation, and capital equipment evaluation and justification


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Metallury, or related field

Minimum seven years experience in driving engineering initiatives in the overhaul or repair of aero-engine components, be an outgoing personable individual with innovative problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of skilled workers to meet aggressive development goals. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to drive and support organizational change and rapid product line growth.

This position is located in Grand Prairie, Texas. Relocation may be considered for the candidate that can effectively transition into the role.
