Process Engineer - Injection Mold

Plastic Trim, LLC, a Tier I automotive supplier of exterior plastic trim parts, is searching for a Process Engineer.  Responsibilities include cost reduction activities through methods such as process improvement, process modification, tooling modification, scrap reduction, equipment changes, material analysis, training of employees on improvement techniques; provide technical support to manufacturing by troubleshooting and solving daily processing issues; provide technical engineering support of mold design, materials and processing equipment; provide mold and product cost projections of new and existing products; and effective relations with external suppliers.

 

Qualifications include degree in Engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience; minimum of five years as Process Engineer in an injection molding environment; strong ability to document processes and work within Quality systems; and demonstrated accomplishment in mistake-proofing and continuous improvement activities.  Exposure to high volume plastic injection molding and previous automotive experience is preferred.
