Process Engineer (Probe)

Education Requirements or Equivalency: 


·  BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (Strong background in Device Physics preferred)





 


Minimum Experience/Skill Requirements: 


 


·  Minimum of  3+ years in industry with at least 3 years of DRAM related product experience.   (Experience with DRAM process technologies a plus)


·  Knowledge of semiconductor device physics


·  Knowledge of JMP and SAS


·  Knowledge of Agilent (HP4071/72) parametrics test systems OR Advantest Memory Test System


·  Knowledge of UNIX and C+ fundamentals





·  Semiconductor Mfg and/or DRAM product experience


·  Statistical Process Control


·  Analysis and Software for DOE


·  DRAM architecture and circuitry (SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, Low Power)


 


Additional Experience (Preferred Requirements):


·  DRAM test (Advantest testers, TSK Probers, MOSAID, Acuid or IMS)


·  DRAM reliability and failure modes


 


Job Responsibilities: 


·  Trend Data Analysis and Disposition Support


·  Identify shift in tool trends. Tool correlation and matching.


·  Develop new test solutions (software and hardware) for DRAM


·  Analyze wafer level PTMAPTXT and BIN data to set fail limits to catch process related fallout


·  Analyze die level test data(FRL’s, voltages, currents, PTMAPTXT fails, etc.) for recoverable fail patterns at both PREFUSE and PARAMETRICS


·  Work with product and device engineering to understand product related issues vs. process related problems


·  Work with data analysis group to create/maintain web based tool trends and reports for PREFUSE and PARAMETRICS


·  Monitor and maintain retest limits (when retest should be performed) at PREFUSE to maximize yield recovery and minimize amount of material retested with little or no recovery


·  Support or lead special projects as required to support the ramp of new products


·  Assist process and yield engineers to interpret test data


·  Troubleshoot issues on test systems


·  Solve problems independently on daily basis


·  Reduce the occurrence of probing errors


·  Provides technical and sustaining engineering support for Technology Transfer organization in  IFR through the following:


o  Study and improve the dispositioning process of non-standard or discrepant product in Parametric and Prefuse stages. Update this criteria via specifications/OCAP to standardize the disposition process


o  Provide initial electrical and visual/mechanical FA of Prefuse,  Parmetric and Test fails to drive yield improvements


o  Manage/Minimize Q and T-Gate Hold levels


o  Train disposition technicians & Backup for Disposition technicians when needed


  Additional Job Responsibilities:

·  Troubleshoot issues on parametric test systems


·  Ensure adequate test capacity is available





·  Interaction of tester systems with PROMIS, SYNERGY and SEPTII
