Process Engineer - Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment Etch and ECP

Process Engineer – Etch or ECP Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment:

 

Seeking experienced process engineer to work on-site at customer?s semiconductor manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX.  Responsible for process field support of Customer Service programs.  Emphasis is placed on the design and implementation of experimental procedures aimed at achieving project goals within the equipment capability. 

 

Responsibilities include:
Will work in customer sites designing and executing experiments and characterization in FEOL or BEOL etch/cleans. Requires troubleshooting and maintenance of automated equipment.
Maintaining installed equipment in the field.
Taking leadership role in installation of new equipment.
Providing support to resolve customer/process issues that arise in the field.
Helping to develop new processes at customer sites, and communicating with customers, sales and engineering.
The scope of activities includes development of chemical wet processes using spray and vapor technology.
Provide technical support and trouble shooting products in the field to customers and field service engineers.
Design, perform and analyze process modifications aimed at meeting project goals, at customer site.
Prepare reports detailing results of field process support activities.
Perform customer related process enhancements to the customer's satisfaction.
Work with the respective Business units to resolve or enhance product performance.

 

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
B.S. in an appropriate discipline such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
Successful candidate will be self-motivating, enjoy hands-on work, able to travel, understand the hardware side of the equipment, and have background knowledge of up and downstream processes to effectively troubleshoot issues. 
Good communication skills are essential. 
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills with an interest in research.  
Ability to work with a wide variety of people ranging from technician level to Sr. Engineer, as well as dealing with Sales and Marketing, Customer Service Personnel and Customers.
Requires strong background in characterization techniques and process troubleshooting.
Requires solid foundation in electro-chemistry.  
Direct experience in a semiconductor wafer fab is highly desirable.
Direct experience with etch or ECP equipment highly desirable.
