Process Engineer & Electrical Engineer needed

Terra Industries, Inc., a leading international producer of nitrogen products, is looking for an experienced instrumentation and electrical engineer and an experienced process engineer.  Both of these positions will be part of our Port Neal Manufacturing facility in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

 

The Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring the day to day operations of the plants and for recommending changes for improvement.  This may result in the Engineer identifying an opportunity for improvement, recommending a solution and directing implementation of the change.  This position requires a BS in engineering, preferably chemical, electrical or mechanical, proficient in basic computer software, excellent communication skills and a minimum of three years experience.

 

The Electrical Engineer provides engineering / technical expertise to the maintenance department and other plant departments as needed to maintain continuous plant operations and high efficiency.  This individual provides electrical expertise to the maintenace department in solving problems relating to electrical, controls, instrumentation and communications equipment and th preventive maintenance program.  This position requires a degree in engineering, excellent communication skills plus specific knowledge of electrical power systems raging from 0 to 60,000 volts, 480 and 4,160 volt motors and associated control theory, preventative maintenance and repair of electrical distribution equipment, Triconex and Allen-Bradley PLC Programming, DCS and HMJ programming; design; specification and layout of new instrumentation/control loops, mechanical systems, regulatory design standards (NECX, IEEE, ISA), OSHA regulations and manpower coordination.
