Process Engineer & Sr. Member Technical Staff

Applicants are invited for various positions to develop epitaxy growth process to fabricate state of the blue/green LED and laser diodes. The candidate must have GaN based alloy epitaxy experience using one of the following growth techniques: Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy (HVPE).

 

Candidate will have responsibility to:

1) Develop epitaxy growth process to fabricate state of the art multiple-quantum well (MQW) based blue/green LED and laser diode

2) Based on experience and qualification, work with or lead a team of process engineers to meet technical specifications and roadmaps

3) Respond to wide-variety of process and hardware trouble shooting resulting in problem resolution

Job qualifications:

1) Knowledge of Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition or Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

2) Knowledge of relevant metrology and material characterization: Reflectance, PL, EL, XRD, and

 

Hall measurements

3) PhD in Material Science, Physics, or Engineering, or an equivalent degree

4) Good understanding of process and hardware interactions during various epitaxy growth steps

5) Excellent written, oral, and communications skills and the ability to work in large team

6) Must be able to make well-informed priority decisions independently

 

Preferred:

1) Substantial years of experience working at a LED manufacturing company

2) Knowledge of all semiconductor processing steps used in fabrication of LEDs and laser diodes

3) Knowledge of commercial GaN epitaxy

4) Aptitude for hardware engineering
