Position Description:
Chevron is accepting applications through December 31, 2006 for Process Engineer positions (0604-50151889) in our Energy Technology and International Exploration and Production companies. These positions are located in various international locations and in Houston, Texas, USA.

This posting is for Process Engineer positions.
The process engineering function focuses on the separation, purification, transformation, transportation and disposition of hydrocarbons (into saleable products - from wellhead to customer), water and various contaminants by physical and chemical means. It is primarily concerned with the interaction of the fluids with equipment in meeting required compositional specifications, physical conditions and flow rates. It includes development, design and operation of a range of technologies such as Flow Assurance, Upstream Production Systems, Gas treating & processing, NGL & Sulfur recovery, LNG, GTL, and refining.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Incident Free Operations. Must be able to champion safety performance of company and contract crews.
?Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills: Self starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross functional, multinational team.
?Demonstrated project management skills. Experience in managing multiple small to major capital projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-B. S. in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering is required.
-For jobs that will be located outside of Houston, Texas, the candidate will be required to spend a minimum of two weeks in Houston for on boarding with ETC personnel.
-Language skills are desirable in many of our locations. Please note any language skills.

Ability to effectively manage or actively support the work team in a diverse, multidisciplinary group. Ability to maintain positive relationships with peers, contractors, supervisors, and customers.
-Project Management:
Demonstrated project management skills. Wide experience in managing multiple small to medium-sized projects.
-Technical Competence:
Knowledgeable in physical properties and chemistry of hydrocarbon systems, experienced in concept selection & development, process basis of design & process simulation / modeling & analysis. Expertise in design of offshore & onshore facilities, including P&ID development, API-14C compliance, materials & equipment specifications, operational requirements, and safety in designs. Knowledgeable in industry standard codes and practices related to the engineering, design, and construction of process equipment.
