Processing Engineer

Summary of Responsibilities

 

Manage daily activities of Technical Services with regard to transitioning new products from the Research and Development stage to piloting and production. Responsible for determining new raw materials and compound testing parameters, problem solving production compound, review of compound history and initiating new batch cards.  

 Specific Accountabilities

? Develop and establish procedures and statistical controls for the new compound batching

? Assure quality products through defined compounding procedures

? Manage workflow, quality of performance and training requirements of staff

? Provide technical support company wide

? Auditing, follow-up and review of batch history

? Define compounding processes and procedures

? Investigation of failed compounds

? Establish and track performance against expense and annual goals and objectives

? Manage processes related to all phases of compounding

? Work interactively with R&D, Quality, Production and Product Development to transfer technologies, processes, and methodologies to production

? Possess highly developed analytical, problem solving, and people skills

 ExperienceB.S., ScienceEngineering related field Minimum 5 years in process engineering in a manufacturing environment
