Product/Applications Engineer

Position reports to the Principal  Engineer and provides technical support to Customer Service, Sales and Operations and interfaces with customers in the area of cable applications and problem solving.  The position requires knowledge of lab equipment and cable qualification.

 

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, is preferrred with 3+ years of related work experience.  It is expected that this individual interface regularly with sales, account managers, customers, process specialists, technicians, suppliers and other non-technical people to carry out objectives.

 

? Design and administer qualification test programs to industry standards to evaluate the performance of cables to establish their suitability to specific application requirements.

 

?Provide technical support for Customer Service, Sales, Operations and external customers on a daily basis.

 

? Evaluate and execute design changes to address specific product problems, enhance cable performance or meet specification requirements. 

 

 ? Prepare product qualification and technical reports and review customer inquiries to determine technical requirements, product acceptability and any special technical or commercial issues.  Provide recommendations on application of Kerite products. 

 

? Assist the Production and Quality departments in investigating product quality issues, process problems, acceptability judgments and documentation issues.  Recommend methods and take actions to resolve conflict or execute corrective measures.
