Product Design Engineer ? Electrical System

(Wire Harness Concepts)

 

 Description:

This position designs and supports wire harnesses for vehicle on-board electrical systems in direct cooperation with the customer and their contracted suppliers.

 

Primary Duties:

?  Construction of a wire harness concept as part of an on-board electrical system

?  Preparation of connection diagrams for wiring harnesses

?  Preparation of concepts and ideas for improvement

?  Selecting appropriate contact systems

?  Construction of wire harness drawings considering requirements and cost aspects

?  Cooperation on specifications, installation tests and reworks of wire harnesses in prototypes and pre-production vehicles

?  Coordination and preparation of specification drawings and sketches

?  Support and coordination for the assembly of development vehicles

?  Definition of requirements for contacting parts, clips, channel parts and grommets for sub-suppliers

?  Change and cost management

?  Project documentation

 

Requirements for Positions:BS Electrical Engineering Several years experience with on-board electrical system developmentSeveral years experience in automotive industryStrong organization and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a cross functional team environment.Ability to work within tight deadlines and in high pressure environment.Good communication skills for interfacing with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and customers both verbal and written.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD-systems
