Lead the development of an exciting new area of Humana's Innovation Center - Opportunity Identification and Early Concept Development

Seeking outgoing, dynamic individuals to fill Innovation Engine Positions - Process Manager, Consultants and Analyst

- Do you possess strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure project continuity, momentum and closure for innovative, front-end product and service development?

- Are you certified in creative problem solving techniques or have a fervent interest and appreciation for new ideas, creative process or facilitation?

We're looking for candidates to provide evangelistic enthusiasm to help create new processes and approaches for infusing Humana with exciting, new innovative directions. These managers must use their polished communication skills to be a bridge and liaison to internal clients. For success in these roles, the candidates should possess extraordinary "people-skills," risk-taking, rule-challenging, experience-seeking orientation, a deep curiosity about human motivation, an edgy creative bent and a strong business sensibility. These positions require fantastic teamwork skills - working alongside the "home" marketing research team, highly - diverse client teams and senior management, all of whom desire to be included in the recommended courses of action.

In more detail, the Innovation Engine Managers need to:
1. Monitor the Environment - work very closely with the Marketing Research team to be watchful for slight changes in trends.
2. Anticipate Opportunity - when changes do begin to occur, recommend how they may affect Humana products/services? Help develop opportunity identification events, opportunity assessment cases and new concepts to leverage the opportunity for Humana.
3. Identify Opportunity - help lead teams to align around identifying and profiling the true value of the opportunity.
4. Generate Alternatives - now that you have identified the new opportunity challenge for Humana, generate ideas that could build the business. Lead teams through Creative Problem solving that your own facilitation or by deploying outside resources. Brainstorm to generate discontinuous, incremental, breakthrough and "purple-cow" ideas, strategy, and tactics.
5. Evaluate/Make Decisions - help evaluate the generated ideas from the perspective of a business case logic.
6. Champion - Guide the team to 'sell' the idea into the Humana organization. Tell the story in a manner consistent with Humana cultural norms and values.



Additional responsibilities:
1. Analyze and synthesize learnings from research, drawing conclusions that are actionable, insightful and accessible to key customers. Be willing to pitch-in, if necessary, to conduct early, upstream research by monitoring trends or conducting compelling qualitative or quantitative research projects.
2. Utilize working knowledge of standard research methods to distill information into clear and concise communication.
3. Synthesize information from multiple sources (custom research, syndicated research, competitor analysis).
4. Champion novel research and creative process techniques that help Humana decisions makers get closer to key stakeholder voice and/or make more innovative decisions. Help develop even more esprit as a member of Humana's Marketing Research team.
5. Effectively leverage internal and external business partners' experience and motivation in positioning, advertising, innovation, pricing, marketing mix, product development, and in-market tracking to clearly communicate findings in action-oriented manner.
