Product Development Engineer - Atomization

The Atomization Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, and launching new Binks and DeVilbiss manual spray finishing guns and accessories, focusing ?next generation? products.  Responsibilities include defining the scope of projects, determining product specifications, product design, prototype validation, production analysis, product launch, and other activities necessary in taking a new product from conceptualization to commercialization.  Will also conduct market and industry resource and interface heavily with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and customers.

 

Candidates should have a BS Mechanical Engineering with 5 ? 7 years experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) combined with 5 years experience with spray atomization equipment design, manufacturing, and customer use.  Individuals must have experience with how finishing equipment is used, how it functions, and materials used/required for different applications and must have previous experience effectively handling multiple, long-term projects.  This position will require understanding of physics principles such as stress, force, and torque along with solid computer skills (Word, Excel, CAD).  Must have strong interpersonal and written and verbal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.  Periodic overnight travel required.
