Scope of Position
Provide the development group with a high degree of fiber optic assembly and test capability

Day to Day Responsibilities:
* Make and test prototypes.
* Determine the optical, geometrical, and environmental integrity of components.
* Be responsible for portions of development projects as assigned.
* Build prototype units, make design recommendations and modifications where
required using in-house machine shop equipment or outside suppliers.
* Make recommendations on product design, assembly methods, and tooling and
be responsible for implementation of same.
* Write assembly procedures and instructions for customer use.
* Be responsible for meeting project milestones as scheduled on Project Status
Reports (PSR's).
* Responsible for resolution of design and manufacturing issues on assigned
projects.
* Participate in product conceptualization.
* Train field engineers and factory workers in connector assembly.
* Demonstrate assembly of product to customers.
* Resolve any quality issues on products released for sale.

Travel Requirements
Some international travel (Reynosa)
