Description:
The Production Engineer will be responsible for assisting field personnel in optimizing gas production in the Powder River Basin coal bed methane operations. Some involvement in expense control, P&A programs, and regulatory work can also be expected. Because of the ongoing high activity level, the candidate for this position must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities:
1. Promote and support a culture where safety and environmental compliance is top priority among contractors and Corp employees.
2. Optimize production and minimize expense using information gathered from SCADA, etc., and communication with other members of the Powder River Basin Asset Team.
3. Recommend, review and supervise (as appropriate) workovers, and other remedial and well maintenance activities.
4. Collaborate with and provide direction to field operators, transportation company personnel, and others affected by well production and service activities. 5. Question and challenge current operations and facilitate innovation to improve production performance or water management in current coal bed methane wells.
6. Work with submersible pump supplier to track failures and total costs, and take proactive steps to improve artificial lift efficiency.
