Production / Engineer - Cement

Holcim (US) Inc., one of the nation?s largest manufacturers and distributors of cement and mineral components has openings for self-starting, results-oriented, experienced talent for the Production Teams in our Southeast Region to be located in Artesia, MS, Holly Hill, SC or Birmingham, AL.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline and a minimum of three years production department and production process experience; cement/lime operation or heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred; thorough knowledge of the kiln operating system also preferred.  Responsibilities for this critical production team member are to: 

? Participate as a key member of the production team to create a high performance culture

? Work closely with the maintenance team

? Coordinate production operations to ensure the achievement of clinker and cement production targets within specified quality and environmental standards and within budget

? Contribute to effective shutdown planning and management

? Support and maintain the plant safety and environmental program and ensure compliance with regulations

? Regularly inspect and evaluate all operating equipment in order to maintain production requirements

? Work to keep costs in line with the plant budget and be alert for ways to reduce costs of operations, maintenance and repairs

? Ensure that quality and environmental ISO standards are met

? Responsible for safety and housekeeping

? Assist in continuous improvement of the cement manufacturing process

? Will be required to work a shift and hours may vary depending on operational demand
