Production Technician - Pharmaceutical Industry

Essential Job Function:  Comply with all and any SOP and safety standards as it pertains to the performance of job duties in the manufacturing operations of CLIENT.

 

General Information:  Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.  Possess the ability to perform calculations in advanced math.  Must be physically able to lift and manipulate containers up to 100 lbs.  Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing a must.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

1.Good communication, written and oral, in the English language.

2.Knowledge of SOP?s, CGMP?s specifically relating to the Pharmaceutical Industry.

3.Some knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

4.Knowledge of safety rules/regulations.

5.Ability to read and write English and interpret; then follow written instructions.

6.Physical strength, stamina and agility.  Ability to maneuver 100 lb drums.

7.Mechanical aptitude.

8.Able to work flexible hours and perform all jobs/tasks in process training.

10. Ability to clearly communicate/report to other ?lead?s, supervisor or management staff about shift production, attendance and schedule updates of concerns/comments.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

 

1.Ensures compliance with all SOPs & safety standards applicable to job duties/tasks.

2.Cleans, disassembles, reassembles machinery and production suite.

3.Weighs and verifies correctness of incoming product/raw materials against batch record.

4.Production suite/machinery set-up for production campaigns.

5.Preparation of production solutions; binders, coatings, solutions. Possible use of solvents.

6.Unloads/loads and weighs product.  Some special handling may apply.

7.Running and monitoring of manufacturing equipment during production.  Strict documentation.

8.Light trouble-shooting of manufacturing equipment.

9.Maintenance of production logs, equipment & tools.

10. Assist in the training of future Technicians who qualify for the Technician position.

11. Demonstrate a proper example of cooperation with the Area Supervisor, other Managers, and other departments as related to doing whatever it takes to get the required work completed.

12. Other projects directed by the Area Supervisor or Department Manager.

 

Other tasks/functions may be assigned by Lead/Supervisor. Employee must be flexible to work other shifts and overtime when deemed necessary by the company and provided with some advance notice.  Some tasks may be performed in support of other department efforts but all within the best interest of  CLIENT; Pharmaceutical Services Division.
