Program Engineer

Responsible for management and leadership of medium sized OEM Metal Fabricating facility. Experience with Process Improvements, Product Launches and interface with Engineering on Product Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and direct program through contract award design approval and release for tooling, prototype and production.
2. Work closely with sales on all up front contract with customer during the initial stages in acquiring the contracts.
3. Coordinate and develop all concept designs (renderings) both styling and mechanical to meet the customer wants and needs.
4. Work closely with tooling engineers and manufacturing representatives to determine manufacturing processes to be used to produce components.
5. Develop DVP&R.
6. Develop and maintain manufacturing costs for quote.
7. Direct CAD department in full design and release.
8. Schedule and chair design team meetings.
9. Publish meeting minutes and open issues list from all team and customer meetings.
10. Create and maintain project records.
11. Coordinate all initial feasibility studies for designs.
12. Be the focal point for all correspondence and communications.
13. Coordinate and assist in studies with customer or assist with any test needs for customer?s tests, i.e. PG.
14. Develop DFMEA.
15. Develop and maintain program timing.
16. Publish all required documents to the team members and customer.
17. Maintain all prototype information.
18. Coordinate all prototype build and testing for program.
19. Track project costs with the assistance of the Financial Representative.
20. Create the project bill of material.
21. Initiate all engineering change documents and changes to the design.
22. Work with the customer and AQE to determine component and assembly critical characteristics and required GD&T.
23. Have appropriate Tier 2 supplier representative attend meetings when needed.
24. Coordinate all packaging design requirements.
