Program Manager

Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.

Plans and manages all development, certification, and initial production efforts associated with military and/or civilian aircraft and military ground vehicle fire protection system programs. Works with marketing, engineering, product support, quality, and operations organizations to develop winning technical and cost proposals. Thoroughly reviews and understands customer specifications and statements of work. Works with System Managers and engineers to drive cost effective designs. Develops detailed plans and schedules that define new programs. Creates Earned Value Management baselines. Continuously monitors progress against the baseline plan and prepares tracking reports including CPI, SPI, & corrective actions, when required. Works with the Integrated Product Teams to identify, assess, and manage program risks. Monitors program evolution against baseline scope to identify and manage program scope. Conducts regular internal design coordination meetings and milestone design reviews. Provides primary customer liaison for all program issues.

Minimum of a BS degree in Engineering, Science, or Technical Management Desired: MS in engineering or an MBA.

BS degree with 8+ years experience design or manufacturing engineering, or
MS or MBA with 5 years experience in design or manufacturing engineering


* US citizen or US green card holder is mandatory
* Excellent written and communications skills required
* A proven track record of leading development programs is a must
* Commercial or military aerospace or military ground vehicle industry experience highly desirable
* Must be able to travel.
* Team player attitude is a must.
