SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 



 







 

This position is accountable for monitoring the daily operations of the Precision Coater operations in

Devon 3, with specific regard given to the maintenance/ modification of the PLC and HMI controls. The position will also be responsible to provide daily guidance & assistance to the maintenance department for the troubleshooting of electrical issues. In addition, the position will be responsible for the planning, design, engineering, supervision and coordination of both capital and non-capital projects in support of Catalytic Systems Division manufacturing, development and quality control activities.

 



 







 

   

 



 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 



 Assist production & maintenance groups in troubleshooting automation related issues with Precision Coater equipment via the use of PLC interface software.

 Conduct and direct studies to determine requirements of new/modified equipment, systems and facilities both capital and non-capital.

 Prepare and/or reviews and approves all purchase requisitions, bid tabulations, vendor or internal prints and design drawings as needed for projects.

 Develop project scope reports equipment specifications, bid requests, schedules, cost estimates and prepare appropriation requests.

 Supervise and direct the design, installation, start up and debug of new/ modified equipment and facilities.

 







 

REQUIREMENTS:

 



 



 Bachelors degree in Engineering.

 Zero to two years experience in manufacturing environment. Experience with the design and installation of production machinery is preferred.

 Basic understanding of PLC- controlled automatic equipment is preferred, as it relates to the design of automated equipment. Specific knowledge of the Allen-Bradley PLC code language is preferred.
