Project Controls Manager I

Our client is a top ranked nationally recognized design firm of more than 2700 employees with more than 30 offices through out the United States. As a privately held firm, they lack much of the bureaucratic policies one might encounter in a large publicly held firm. We are conducting a search for a Project Controls Manager for one of their Pacific Northwest offices This manager will be a key player in the firms control of major transportation projects within the state of Washington.  As the Project Controls Manager, you will manage some of the larger projects with local municipalities and work closely with the Washington Department of Transportation for the development of new and existing projects through out the state. The opportunity may lead to a position with regional responsibility at some future point. This position reports directly to the firms Regional Manager.


The ideal candidate will provide Project Management with scheduling, cost control, estimating, and analysis expertise for CPM logic diagrams, manpower projections, progress curves, performance curves, earned value analysis, cash flow curves, expenditure curves, capital cost estimates, design estimates, VE studies, cost reports, document control requirements and other necessary analysis. You will provide recommendations for corrective actions to mitigate cost and schedule impacts.  You must be able to analyze contractor cost and schedules and incorporate into an overall program master level schedule and program budget.  You must also understand how to read drawings and design specifications. 


 


You will provide Coordination and control project planning/scheduling, cost, estimating, document control activities including personnel work assignments of your supporting staff.


The ideal candidate will have a four year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with eight to fifteen years of experience in maintaining all aspects of Project Controls with local, municipal or state agencies and be familiar with Washington Department of Transportation regulations and practices.
