Project Designer

The Brewer-Garrett Company, a mechanical engineering contractor located in Middleburg Heights, has an exciting opportunity available for a Project Designer to join our dynamic team on a contract to hire basis.  In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for generating and/or translating rough or detailed sketches, specifications and calculations into construction documents.  Other responsibilities include:

 Develop and maintain drawing standards.Prepare all construction documents accurately, legibly, and timely with minimum supervision.Prepare final documents; verifying dimensions of equipment, ductwork, etc. to ensure installation and serviceability of mechanical systems. Make any adjustments to the drawings, calculations and specifications as required by the Project Engineer/Senior Project Designer.Utilize knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, computer programming, materials and other physical sciences to complete the drawings with a minimum of supervision.Cooperate with the design/construction team to meet the project schedule with in the allotted engineering and construction budget.

 

Qualified candidates will have 3 or more year?s relevant experience, specifically with producing drawings that are error free. Must be proficient with Autocad version 2004 or better.  The ability to communicate effectively is an absolute must.  Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is required.
