Project Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
Lead development efforts for new invasive ventilation products. In addition, provide engineering support for existing invasive ventilation products. Specify, design, and develop electrical subsystems and systems. Perform verification testing at component, sub-system, and system levels. Work with suppliers and manufacturing to transition.
Work with contract electrical engineering firms to specify, oversee, and direct development of electrical systems.
Successfully translates system requirements into electrical specifications for implementation by a contracted electrical engineering firm.
Support development of closed loop control systems incorporating electrical designs.
Oversee completion of electrical verification and validation activities for the product.
Successfully complete the design activities for PCBAS.
Ability to lead as well as participate on cross functional project teams

Ability to work with outside firms to design, implement and test electrical systems.


Requirements:
Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in an engineering design environment is required.
Previous experience overseeing engineering products from conception to production is required.
Strong experience in working with outside firms to design, implement and test electrical systems.
Strong experience with embedded microprocessor systems is required.
Strong experience in interfacing microprocessors with sensors and actuators is required.
Experience with motor controllers in desired.
Experience in interfacing multiple microprocessors through shard bus structures (CAN, Ethernet, RapidIO, etc.) is desired. Experience with ARM processors is desired.
