Position is located in Central Florida


Position Description:
The responsibilities of a Project Engineer include managing assessment and remediation projects, site assessments, system design and construction management, as well as supporting other Hydrogeologists and Engineers in collection and compilation of field data and preparation of technical reports. The position will typically report to a Sr. Engineer or Group Manager.


Major Activities:
- Perform field activities that may include well installation, soil borings, surveys, pilot testing, and oversight of O&M of remediation systems.
- Perform hydrogeologic testing such as aquifer pumping tests, slug tests, and percolation I infiltration tests.
- Bid, manage and oversee subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot operating remediation systems and coordinate repairs.
- Perform computer modeling.
- Design, specify, and purchase treatment equipment.
- Evaluate pilot test data for design purpose.
- Prepare construction drawings.
- Remedial system installation, start up and maintenance.
- Conduct contamination assessment.
- Prepare work plans, cost estimates, contracts, change orders, etc.
- Review, analyze, and interpret field data.
- Attend client and regulatory meetings. 
 
Major Accountabilities:
- Maintain billability and productivity.
- Meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Prepare high quality, accurate and complete project deliverables.
- Prepare accurate billing paperwork.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Train Technicians and staff level personnel.
- Oversee waste permitting and handling.
- Prepare environmental permits.
- Identify opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Support the billing and AIR process.
- Maintain profitability goals and objectives.
- Respond quickly to client requests.

Core Skills:
1. Bachelor degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
2. 40-Hour OSHA Training.
3. Current insurable driver's license.


Operational/Technical Skills:
1. Operate field equipment including water level indicators, OVAs, pH, temp, conductivity meters, data loggers, etc.
2. Operate computers including use of spreadsheet and word processing using technical and non-technical software.
3. Collect groundwater level measurements and sample air, water, and soil.
4. Prepare accurate technical reports.
5. Manage drilling operations and design monitoring wells.
6. Determine sampling requirements on site assessment projects.
7. Implement innovative site assessment and remediation technical and non-technical software.
