Project Engineer/Checker

Requirements:

 Technical Background ? 2 yr associates in design or equivalent 5 years minimum work experience Self-motivating Outgoing personality Familiar with reading architectural and structural plans and specifications Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Exceptional computer skills; Windows and Office applications Exceptional AutoCAD skills Drafting skills Drawing & design checking skills Capable of performing to time lines Stair or structural steel knowledge helpful Design/detail oriented person Egress building code knowledge helpful Excellent communication/phone skills

 

Description of Job:

 

This is a key position responsible for: review new incoming projects, create worksheets, sketches and organizing information to present to our detailer/drafters.  Review/check drawings from detailer/drafter and process drawings to our customers.  Process projects after they are return from our customers and coordinate with manufacturing drafting in the creation of our shop prints, which includes checking and reviewing prior to fabrication.  Other responsibilities may include solving field issues and/or customer issues, scrubbing drawings, designing, detailing or any other responsibility as directed.
