Malcolm Pirnie, Inc is seeking a Project Engineer - Instrumentation and Controls for our Red Oak Consulting division in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Responsibilities of the position include control systems design and development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and specifications. The position will also include providing engineering solutions to interface process monitoring and control systems with electrical and mechanical equipment, performing construction administration and field startup tasks and supervising staff engineers in design. The ideal candidate will have four to six years experience in preparing I&C field study reports, master plans, automation strategy, and monitoring and control system design, system start up and documentation. Two to four years Water and/or Wastewater I&C system experience and preparing/managing budgets preferred. AutoCAD and/or Micro Station experience, PLC programming and HMI software configuration are a plus. Must have BS Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Masters Preferred. Strong project management skills, strong interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and verbal are required.
