Project Engineer - Mechanical-HVAC

Malcolm Pirnie is seeking a Project Engineer - Mechanical Engineer with 7 to 10 years of engineering experience specializing in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design.

Professional degree in Mechanical engineering from a four year accredited school of engineering.

Professional Engineering License preferred but not a prerequisite.

Proficiency with AutoCAD 2000 or above

Proficiency with HVAC load calculation software.

Significant experience in the HVAC design of industrial facilities (water and wastewater treatment facilities preferred but not a prerequisite), commercial facilities, and institutional facilities.

Ability to work productively in a team environment to develop design solutions.

Capability to produce and manage the production of construction documents, coordinate with consultants, prepare specifications, and have a good understanding of construction technology and building systems.

Strong project design skills are required in the following areas: proficiency in all areas of HVAC design, project management, authoring reports and design documents, project budgeting and tracking, project scheduling, client interaction, and design team leadership.

Must have a clear and consistent appreciation for deadlines and ability to properly apply efforts to satisfy multiple project needs and commitments; excellent time management skills are essential.

Must be outgoing, confident, performance-driven, team-oriented and client-focused with strong written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic.

Seven to Ten or more years experience with environmental projects preferred. Requirements include B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. preferred. P.E. preferred.Engineering experience specializing in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design.
