Project Engineer R&D

Velcro Group Corporation is looking for a Project Engineer to develop and launch new fastening systems for the Personal Care industry. Under the general direction of a supervisor and/or Senior Engineer, the potential candidate will work independently as an individual contributor.  The candidate must be capable of working in a team-based environment as a key team contributor and/or as a team leader to solve a variety of complicated tasks.  Areas of responsibility will focus around the design, development, implementation, analysis, and manufacturing support of state-of-the-art hook and loop fasteners as well as other fastener-related products/systems.  The candidate should be able to assist in recommending alterations to developments and designs to improve the quality of new and/or current products and procedures.  This position requires a familiarity with a variety of design concepts, manufacturing practices, quality control procedures, and Six Sigma principles.  At least five to seven years of experience in the field or in a related area and a BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and are required.
