Project Engineer for Powertrain Group

Job Description: 

 

In this position you will be part of the team responsible for the design, development, testing/validation, and production launch of new products for the powertrain group.  As a Project Engineer for the Powertrain Engineering Group, your responsibilities include:

 

?  Design new components and assemblies using Unigraphics

?  Prepare assembly and BOM documentation

?  Analyze test data and make design modifications if necessary

?  Work with model makers to product prototypes for new designs and design changes

?  Work with CAD designers to develop complex models and drawings when necessary

?  Provide plant support for production

?  Must be capable of managing subsystems independently

 

Success will be measured through quality of work, time to production, and warranty and customer satisfaction data.  Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

?  BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience

?  Three years experience in design engineering and project management for Engines

?  Experience with 3D CAD or Unigraphics

?  Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes

?  Must be willing to travel
