The position is located in South Florida


Position Description:
The responsibilities of a Project Hydrogeologist include managing site assessment and remediation projects, conceptual system design and construction oversight. Support other Hydrogeologists or Engineers in collection and compilation of field data and preparation of technical reports. The position will typically report to a Sr. Hydrogeologist or Group Manager.


Major Accountabilities:
1. Maintain billability and productivity.
2. Meet project deadlines.
3. Work within project budgets.
4. Prepare high quality, accurate and complete project deliverables.
5. Prepare accurate billing paperwork.
6. Comply with all Health & Safety policies.
7. Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.
8. Manage subcontractors.
9. Train Technicians and staff level personnel.
10. Oversee waste permitting and handling.
11. Cultivate work from existing clients.
12. Identify potential new clients.
13. Support the billing and AIR process.
14. Maintain profitability goals and objectives.
15. Respond quickly to client requests.


Major Activities:
1.  Collect soil, air, and water samples.
2.  Field activities including: well installation and borings, surveys, pilot testing, O&M ofremediation systems, etc.
3.  Perform aquifer testing such as pump tests, slug tests, and percolation infiltration tests.
4.  Manage and oversee subcontractors.
5.  Assist with well searches, site plans, contour maps, data sets, and health and safety plans.
6.  Prepare technical reports.
7.  Schedule projects and estimate budgets.
8.  Prepare contracts.
9.  Prepare financial paperwork.
10. Support Accounts Receivable process.
11. Perform basic computer modeling.
12. Review, analyze, and interpret data.
13. Meet with clients and regulators.


Core Skills:
1. Bachelor degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
2. 40-Hour OSHA Training.
3. Current insurable driver's license.


Operational/Technical Skills:
1. Operate field equipment including water level indicators, OVAs, pH, temp, conductivity meters, data loggers, etc.
2. Operate computers including use of spreadsheet and word processing using technical and non-technical software.
3. Collect groundwater level measurements and sample air, water, and soil.
4. Prepare accurate technical reports.
5. Manage drilling operations and design monitoring wells.
6. Determine sampling requirements on site assessment projects.
7. Implement innovative site assessment and remediation technical and non-technical software.
