SALES / PROPOSAL ENGINEER

 

Wahlco, Inc. is an established leading environmental equipment and services company searching for a Proposal / Sales Engineer.

Position Summary:


Provide marketing support to sales and proposal activities.  Interface with customers, Wahlco, Inc. sales and marketing staff, engineering department, manufacturing representatives and Operations Department.

 

Essential Functions:

 Provide support in sales material and proposal preparation.  Prepare  elements of proposals including labor, time and equipment cost estimations.Maintain cost data base.Perform preliminary engineering, including single lines, PFD's and P&I Diagrams.Execute selected projects or assigned portion of project within schedule and budget.  Ensure efficient utilization of personnel and equipment to control project costs.Manage specific field test/development programs including planning, client interfacing, results analysis and report preparation.Perform engineering analysis for a variety of technical problems concerning products.  Utilize analytical techniques and computer modeling to develop solutions to problems.Assist product managers and sales engineers in technical presentations for clients.Coordinate testing requirements with responsible manager.Expected travel, 20%.

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent education.Five years prior experience working with technical customers.CAD experience helpful. Knowledge and understanding of P&I Diagrams.Strong computer skills: Windows, with emphasis on Excel, Microsoft? Project and Word.Strong writing and communication skills.Excellent organization skills, prioritizing of tasks and customer relations.
