Protocol/Signaling Conformance Test Engineer

Role Will be responsible for performance testing on IS-2000, 1xEVDO, gpsOne, and WCDMA/UMTS/GSM products of wireless communications systems in lab and field environments. Will be working in a cross-functional team environment with significant interaction with software developers, hardware designers, system engineers, and various carriers and vendors. To develop automated test strategies for evaluation of wireless device functionality and performance.

Skills/Experience
Solid understanding of digital communication systems. Should have experience in IS-898(C.S0031), C.S0043 (TIA 1035), C.S0044 (TIA1036), IS-919, MEID and Mobile IP signalling conformance testing using Aeroflex 6204/6402 and Spirent C2K/ Spirent Test Drive. Experience in CDMA and EVDO call flow, CDMA/EVDO data/log file analysis, call failure analysis, field data analysis to debug handset issues, CDG64, C.S0058. IS2000/1xEVDO standards, call processing, IS-707 data services, and embedded tools used for debugging handsets, and data analysis to gauge the performance of CDMA/UMTS products in controlled lab and dynamic field environments. Must have knowledge of RF and/or digital testing techniques.

Additional Skills
Familiarity with QUALCOMM's family of WCDMA and CDMA modem, UMTS/WCDMA/GSM/GPRS Call Processing. Must have good communication skills and be an excellent team player. Direct handset testing experience is required.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of related industry experience in CDMA/UMTS handset/device testing.
