Primary responsibilities for this position encompass customer claim management and failure analysis of integrated circuits (microcontrollers, microprocessors) and power management devices. Candidate will perform electrical and physical failure analysis utilizing state of the art equipment (SEM, TEM, EDX). Additionally, the candidate will interface with design and test engineering groups to provide the customer with both preventive and corrective actions to drive device failure rates to zero defect.

Secondary responsibilities include performing the accelerated life testing of integrated
circuits based on industry standards for new product qualification and reliability monitoring.


Minimum BSEE (Physics, other related Sciences)

Three years experience in a technical position in the semiconductor industry (especially for automotive applications) with test engineering experience and an understanding of CMOS fabrication process is preferred.

A solid understanding of Physics of Failure for electronic components and subsystems and knowledge of reliability testing standards for IC components as well as knowledge of JEDEC, AEC, ISO 9001/TS-16949 requirements and other tools such as FMEA, fault-tree analysis, problem solving through 8D, reliability prediction, reliability growth modeling, accelerated testing, probability applications, statistics - including design of experiments (DOE), and correlation and regression analysis is desirable.
